This project was delivered for a long-standing client, with Floor Collective working closely alongside the homeowner, who also led the build, to shape the overall material direction. The home that emerged is warm and layered, a genuine reflection of the people who live there.
A strong foundation is established through engineered timber flooring in Fiddleback Australian Hardwood, Rustic Blackbutt. Supplied and installed throughout, the natural variation and tonal depth bring an organic richness, anchoring the interior palette.
Within the bedrooms, Ripples wool carpet in Benmore colour introduces a softer, more intimate layer underfoot - creating a clear shift into spaces of retreat while maintaining the home’s cohesive, textural language.
The bathrooms take on a more expressive role. Rosa Italian Terrazzo features within one, offering a refined yet playful surface, while the second pairs Celtic Italian Terrazzo with Majorca Sage Matt Subway tiles in a 100 × 200 format. White 300 × 600 ceramic tilesbalance the composition, allowing the feature materials to sit comfortably within a clean, considered framework.
The home that results is one where nothing feels arbitrary. Each material has been chosen to contribute something specific, and together they build a palette that is grounded in warmth, texture, and the kind of livability that holds up long after the build is done.
